Corrections
If an article states something incorrectly, please say which article, which sentence, and what the correct figure or mechanism is. A link to the primary source is the fastest way to get a correction made.
Corrections are made in the article itself, with a dated note explaining what changed. Errors are not quietly deleted.
What this site cannot help with
The Failure Mode explains how systems fail. It does not give emergency, safety, medical, legal, or engineering advice, and it cannot advise on an individual situation.
If you are dealing with an emergency in the United States, call 911. For preparedness and response guidance, use Ready.gov and your state or local emergency management office. For a utility outage, contact your utility directly.
Reuse
Short quotations with a link back are fine. For anything longer, or for republication, please ask first.
